Steps for Graves Exhumation

1. Site Assessment: A site survey will be conducted to document the grave location and for the application of an exhumation permit from the relevant authorities (e.g., NEA).

2. Select Auspicious Date: After consultation with the family and Master (Shifu), an auspicious date for exhumation will be selected.

3. Ground-Breaking Ceremony: A ground-breaking ceremony led by the Master will be held, with the presence of immediate family and the relocation master.

4. Chanting and Worship Rituals: On the exhumation day, the Master leads prayers and rituals to honor the deceased.

5. Exhumation and Handling of Remains: The relocation master carefully exhumes, cleans, and prepares the remains. If required, remains are rinsed with rice wine and sent for cremation.

6. Urn Placement: The ashes are placed in an urn and transported to Nirvana Memorial Garden’s columbarium.

7. Arrival Ceremony (optional): Upon arrival, an optional chanting and offering ceremony is performed before the urn is placed in the new niche.

8. Completion: The process concludes with the respectful installation of the urn, ensuring your loved one is laid to rest in their new home.
