Lin San Temple (灵山寺)

Located at 27 Lorong 12, Geylang, this newly rebuilt, fully air-conditioned Buddhist temple offers a tranquil and elegant environment for worship, remembrance, and reflection.
A Rich Legacy
Lin San Temple was founded in the 1960s by Venerable Rui Xiang from Guangdong. Following his passing, the temple entered a new chapter under the dedicated leadership of Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师), who guided its growth and spearheaded a reconstruction in 1973. Under his guidance, the temple became a vibrant center for Buddhist practice, attracting devotees for worship, Dharma classes, and community events.
Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) was known not only for his spiritual leadership but also for his dedication to charity. Lin San Temple has long supported children’s education, elderly homes, and orphanages.
Rebirth and Renewal
Due to urban development and structural concerns, Lin San Temple underwent a period of closure and rebuilding. Despite many challenges, the dream of restoring the temple never faded. In 2020, a meaningful collaboration with Nirvana Memorial Garden helped bring this vision to life, and by 2023, Lin San Temple reopened its doors as a modern sanctuary for all.
Today, Lin San Temple is a three-story haven, blending traditional Buddhist values with modern comforts. The temple is home to rare and luxurious freehold columbarium niches and ancestral tablets, providing families with a dignified and lasting place to honor their loved ones. The serene, air-conditioned halls offer a peaceful setting for prayer, meditation, and remembrance, welcoming devotees of all backgrounds.
